The SCX24 originally comes with a 030 sized brushed motor (typically 50T or 55T depending on the model), so any 030 sized motor from this selection will be a direct drop-in replacement - unless explicitly noted otherwise.
When using bigger motors (such as 050 or 130 size), different motor mounting plates are required. Depending on your SCX24 base model, you might also need to trim some plastic parts from the battery holder or body internals to make the motor fit.
Apart from size, the turn count (T) of the motor's coil is a key performance indicator. Lower turn counts (e.g., 27T, 35T) provide higher speed but less torque, while higher turn counts (e.g., 45T, 55T, 65T) offer more torque but lower top speed. However, turn count comparisons are most meaningful when comparing motors of the same size and similar construction - comparing turn counts across different brands, motor sizes, or motor types may not provide accurate performance predictions.
